Rep. Helena Scott, Chair of the Energy, Communications, and Technology Committee, recently announced a bipartisan Energy Reliability, Resilience and Accountability Task Force, which is hosting Dependable Energy Listening Tour events throughout the state.
Residents are invited to share how DTE’s power outages have affected their lives and communities, their concerns about rate affordability, and their thoughts on utility oversight, consumer protection, net metering, and infrastructure maintenance and upgrades. Each meeting will last two hours; constituents will each have two minutes to speak.
These listening sessions are an opportunity for residents to speak up and ask to leave DTE’s unaffordable rates, failing infrastructure, and dirty energy in the past.
